Rashid is our second hero in the first open heart campaign that took place in September 2021.
By the grace of God and with your support, we were able to treat Rashid’s congenital heart defect of a single ventricle with pulmonary valve stenosis. After undergoing open heart surgery, today he is in good health.
By operating at the right time we were able to save Rashid’s life along with a larger group of children who underwent complicated open heart surgeries during the first open-heart campaign covered in cooperation with Healing Little Hearts-UK and Gift of Life International-USA.
Many thanks to all the medical professionals who participated in this campaign, beginning with our local team which included Dr. Laila Tatunji and Dr. Karim Salhiyah and the British medical team that performed the operations.
We are also grateful to the many physicians who were actively following up the children’s conditions, including Dr. Aya Banat, Dr. Doa’a, Dr. Mariam Al Houti, and Pediatric Critical Care Specialist Dr. Firas Rabi’, and Pediatric Nephrologist Dr. Samah Jbour.
Of course we must recognize the Arab Medical Center for hosting this open heart campaign and for its generous discounts that helped these children’s journey to better health and made this campaign possible.
Finally thanks to everyone who donated and helped save Rashid’s life and by the grace of God have given his family hope in a better future.
