Our Story
In 2015, our founding members came together, motivated by the value of helping others and mindful of the increasing humanitarian crises affecting families in the region due to different socio-economic and political factors. We wanted, like so many others understandably do, to help those most affected by such realities. We are a diverse group of people: some of us from the private sector, others from the non-for-profit sector, and several are medical professionals. Most of us were not acquainted before joining Atfaluna but were brought together by what should be a basic right and is our driving force; that all children in Jordan, regardless of their nationality, or religion, should enjoy good health and access to quality medical care despite their families’ economic hardships. Our first steps were small but kept getting bigger throughout the years. In 2015, 47 children were supported by Atfaluna to get the medical care they needed, in 2024 the number increased exponentially to 1390 children from 11 different nationalities. We believe that with the great generosity and good will that exists in our community, Atfaluna’s dream will grow bigger every year and more children will be supported in leading a happy, healthy, and dignified life.
