Qanita

Qanita

14 Years

Qanita was suffering from congenital scoliosis that involved a 3-dimensional deformity and imbalance in her spine. In this complex surgery, her spine was realigned and fused, and the deformity corrected successfully, allowing her to stand properly and walk more easily.

Qanita is one of 11 children who have undergone surgical interventions to treat their scoliosis; we, at Atfaluna, are incredibly grateful for PACES for their generosity in covering the costs of all these surgeries.

We sincerely value Dr. Mo’taz Jad’an, Dr. Mohammad Armouti and Dr. Murad Hijjawi for their great efforts and for donating the fees associated with Qanita’s operation. Atfaluna would also like to value the great efforts of the anthologists who also donated the fees associated with the scoliosis surgeries for the eleven children including Dr Muawiah Ababneh, Dr Rifat Shihab, Dr Firas Al-Boti, Dr Wael Al-Khatib, Dr Amir Al-Kayed and Dr Eiman Shihab.

A big thank you goes to the MEDICAID Drug Store for providing all the equipment needed for the surgery and to Al-Abdali Hospital for offering generous discounts, as part of their cooperation agreement with Atfaluna, thus contributing to Qanita’s surgery.

It is worthwhile noting that the original value of Qanita’s surgery, excluding discounts and donated doctors’ fees, was estimated to be around JOD16,000, whereas it actually cost around JOD8,000.
